For more than twenty years now, I have been fascinated by antique French textiles – the cotton cloths of the 19th and 18th centuries,
flowery silks, heavy precious velvets, richly embroidered religious vestments.
Sumptuous brocades are my particular passion. Ottoman embroideries with highly floral decorations.
It is always a pleasure to track down some beautiful Provençal boutis, covered in “Les Indiennes” fabric.
Lovely braids, fine lace and coloured ribbons always have pride of place in my shop. So does vintage passementerie. Gold metallic tassels are my favourites.
